1.     Moong daal- 100 gm
2.     Rice- 300 gm
3.     Onion- 1
4.     Green chillies- 8
5.     Salt- 1 tsp
6.     Turmeric powder- ¼ tsp
7.     Garlic and ginger paste- 1 tsp
8.     Coriander- 2
9.     Mint- 1
  • Roast daal in a pan. And add this to rice and wash and keep aside.
  • Now pour oil in a vessel and fry onion and green chillies till till onion becomes soft then add  garlic ginger and turmeric powder and fry then add coriander and mint and fry. Now add water and salt let this water come to boil then add the rice and daal. Cook it till rice cooks and water dries. Now cover the vessel completely with the lid and keep on sim for 10 to 15 mins.
  • Khichdi is now ready.
  • Serve with imli ka khatta and Papad or til ka khatta and omlet or  Bagara hua Dahi and boiled egg.
